It was a pleasure to join the Patrons’ Dinner at the Roses Theatre this evening, celebrating the arts and the incredible creativity that the Roses brings to our town.

A huge thank you to Derek, the CEO, and the entire team for their warm hospitality and to the many patrons, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors whose continued commitment allows the Roses Theatre to remain a beacon of hope and inspiration for so many people.

We were treated to performances from members of The Addams Family production as part of the Roses Young Creatives programme, and they were absolutely brilliant. The talent, confidence, and enthusiasm on display were a wonderful reminder of the important role that the arts play in empowering young people and enriching our community.

There are some exciting developments ahead, including plans for the Roses Theatre to take on a venue in Tewkesbury High Street, creating even more opportunities for the arts to flourish at the heart of our town.

The theatre will also be bringing performances to audiences this year through events at Tewkesbury Abbey and Victoria Gardens, demonstrating how vital the Roses Theatre is to the cultural life of Tewkesbury.

The future is bright for the arts in Tewkesbury, and it is wonderful to see the Roses Theatre continuing to grow, innovate, and inspire.

As one of my Mayor’s Charities this year, anyone wishing to support the fantastic work of the Roses Theatre will be able to make a donation via my Mayor’s Charity page.

With thanks for a wonderful evening,

Emma
