Thank you, Tewkesbury Access Forum (TAF)!

Today, we joined TAF for a fantastic access walk around Tewkesbury, using SimuSpecs and mobility scooters to understand some of the challenges people encounter in town.

Starting at the Town Hall, we made our way along the High Street before heading to the Severn Ham, vital for recreation.

As I discovered, a RADAR key may open the gate but navigating the entrance on a mobility scooter can still be incredibly complex.

Experiencing the route and hearing from members of TAF about their lived experiences highlighted how small changes can make a massive difference.

A huge thank you to Liz and the team at TAF for coordinating the walk, sharing their knowledge, and bringing everyone together.

We are incredibly grateful to Mark at Auto Spares for providing the mobility scooters, Yahya from the Gloucestershire and Swindon Sight Loss Council for bringing the SimuSpecs, and Anne, Jan, and Shirley for being wonderful guides.

Today was about listening, learning, and thinking practically about the changes that we can make to create a safer, more accessible, and welcoming town for everyone.
